Who we are

This policy explains how Expat Pension Advisors (“we”, “us”) handles your personal information when you use expatpensionadvisers.com.

We are an introducer. We do not give financial advice and we do not carry out regulated activities. We collect your enquiry and introduce you to a financial adviser, who provides any advice or regulated service. That adviser is a separate organisation and handles your information under their own privacy policy.

What we collect

When you complete our enquiry form we ask for:

• Contact details — your name, mobile number, email address and the city or area you live in.
• Your circumstances — your nationality, country of residence, age band, what you would like help with, and a broad band for the value of your investable assets.

We also collect automatically:

• How you reached us — the page you first landed on and, if you arrived from an advert, which campaign it was. This is stored in a first-party cookie on your device for up to 90 days.
• Approximate location — derived from your IP address, only to pre-select your country dialling code.

We do not ask for account numbers, policy numbers or any banking details on this website, and you should not send them to us.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To introduce you to an adviser and arrange your review — on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
• To verify your mobile number by sending you a one-time code — on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent and automated submissions.
• To measure which adverts work — on the basis of our legitimate interest in running our business efficiently. This uses aggregate campaign data, not profiling about you as an individual.

Who we share it with

We share your details with the financial adviser we introduce you to. That is the purpose of the service, and it is what you consent to when you submit the form.

We also use these providers, who process data on our instructions:

• Supabase — secure database hosting for your enquiry.
• GoHighLevel — the customer relationship system our team works from.
• Twilio — sends the one-time code that verifies your mobile number.
• Vercel — hosts this website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Where your information is held

We work with expats worldwide, so your information may be transferred to and stored in a country other than the one you live in — including the adviser’s own country. Data protection laws differ between countries and may offer less protection than those where you live. Where we transfer information internationally we take reasonable steps to keep it protected to the standard described in this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then delete them. If you become a client of the adviser we introduce you to, they will keep their own records under their own policy and retention rules. Attribution cookies expire after 90 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
• have inaccurate information corrected;
• ask us to delete your information;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
• ask us to transfer it to another provider; and
• withdraw your consent at any time — this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@expatpensionadvisers.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies. They record which advert or page brought you here, so we know which campaigns are working, and they keep your progress if you return to a part-completed form. They are not used to build an advertising profile about you, and we do not share them with third-party ad networks from this site. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Children

This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
